I’ve said it over and over again, but my goal this year has been to both stop buying so many beauty products as well as use up / throw out any old products I have in my collection, so as it’s been about three months since my last clearout, pictured are all the products I either used up or got way too old/gloopy/separated to use anymore. Some notable favourites –
The Revlon Lash Potion mascara has now been discontinued, since they’ve replaced their entire line of mascaras with matching bottles and different coloured caps. Haven’t tried any, but I really did like the Lash Potion – it’s one of the only mascaras I’ve ever repurchased, but now that won’t be happening again.
The Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying Primer is a good one – quite pricey but honestly you don’t need much, and this travel sized tube lasted me forever. If I ever run out of primer I’ll be sure to pick this one up again.
Skincare is hard to use up sometimes, especially spot treatments, and this is a very old and battered tube (probably my third bottle of the stuff) of the DDF Benzoyl Peroxide Gel 5%, which is no longer available on Sephora. I found that this specific formulation of 5% BP was the most effective I had tried, but I know it’s easy to get benzoyl peroxide from the drugstore, so I won’t be repurchasing.
What have you used up recently and have you bought anything new that has replaced it?
